Install Prayer Alert from its official Google Play listing. To update, open Google Play, search for Prayer Alert, and select Update when one is available. Prayer Alert also supports Google Play in-app update checks. Current version: 1.0.1.

Open Prayer Alert’s location settings and choose automatic location. When Android asks, grant approximate or precise location access. Precise coordinates can improve local prayer-time estimates, but location permission is optional.

Yes. Decline or disable location access, then enter latitude and longitude manually in Prayer Alert. Confirm that the coordinates and device timezone match the location for which you want estimates.

The selected calculation method provides the app’s prayer-time calculation parameters. If you enable the optional Fiqh or madhab override, that preference replaces the relevant default from the selected method. Choose settings consistent with guidance from your local mosque or qualified religious authority.

Enable the desired prayer alarms in Prayer Alert, then choose the advance reminder lead time. Android may ask for notification, exact-alarm, or full-screen access. Alarm delivery depends on those permissions and your device settings.

Check Prayer Alert’s notification permission, exact-alarm access, alarm volume, Do Not Disturb rules, and full-screen notification access. Exclude Prayer Alert from aggressive battery optimization when appropriate. Some manufacturers impose additional background restrictions, and alarms cannot run while the device is powered off.

Open Android Settings → Apps → Prayer Alert → Storage & cache → Clear storage. Uninstalling Prayer Alert also removes locally stored settings, coordinates, and the location label.
